China Strongly Dissatisfied With EU Plan to Extend Shoe Tariffs

Dec. 4 (Bloomberg) -- China is “strongly dissatisfied” with and opposes a plan by European Union regulators to prolong tariffs on Chinese shoe imports for 15 months, the Ministry of Commerce said in a statement on its Web site today.

Dec. 4 (Bloomberg) -- China is “strongly dissatisfied” with and opposes a plan by European Union regulators to prolong tariffs on Chinese shoe imports for 15 months, the Ministry of Commerce said in a statement on its Web site today.

The EU investigation into shoe imports from China and Vietnam is unfair and lacks transparency, ministry spokesman Yao Jian said in the statement. China hopes members of the EU will vote against extending the anti-dumping tariffs, he said.
